Block of the Month - 2008
Our Chosen theme is "Home and Garden". As we only have seven meetings to hand out our patterns, we have chosen blocks that can be used to make a sampler quillt in a row by row format. If you make all the blocks suggeseted, it will be approximately 36 inches equare before borders are added. You may also wish to add sashing between the rows to make a longer quilt. We are hoping that you will bring your own creativity to our basic suggestions, such as adding sashing rows, pieced borders, your own favorite blocks or changing the suggested layout, adding embellishments etc. and that we will se many different ersions of the quilt in the fall of 2009.
The Winners
The 13 yellow floral Rolling Nine Patch blocks brought in at the May general meeting were won by Laura Zimmerman and the year-end draw for all members who participated in Block of the Month for the 2007-08 years was won by Elaine Wells.
