Welcome to the Rouge Valley Quilters' Guild web site. We are located in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Rouge Valley Quilters' Guild promotes fellowship among quilters and encourages quilters to share their knowledge about the craft and art of quilting. The guild hosts workshops for our members and we engage knowledgeable guest speakers to educate our membership. The guild is a non-profit organization. All skill levels are welcomed, especially beginners!

Due to lack of member participation in these events, afternoon and evening busy bees will be discontinued for the balance of 2008-2009 season.

Workshops

Several workshops, for a reasonable fee, are offered on different techniques and skill level.  Instructors are either guild members or recognzed teachers.  Coffee and Tea are provided by the guild.


Quilts from the heart

Quilts from the heart is the guild's community service project. Crib and cuddle quilts are made y members to comfort children who's lives have been disrupted.  Kits are prepared by a committee and distributed throughout the year to volunteer members.  To date, over 200 quilts and place mats have been distributed to various women shelters and hospitals
.


Special Events

Get-away weekends and bus trips are organized by the guild.  There are exciting trips to various Ontario and U.S locations.
