Our 2011 to 2013 Block Of The Month is “A Calendar Quilt.” A creative theme pattern related to a month will be presented. The October "Jack-O-Lantern" block was presented at the September meeting. How exciting it was to see our September presenter "Ruth Kennedy" display her calendar quilt. Each block a member completes will be kept by them to make their own quilt. A member may want to choose their own fabric and colors or follow the suggestions on the presented pattern. The patterns will consist of various techniques: patchwork, appliqué, paper piecing curved piecing. We hope members will try these techniques, especially if they are new to them! Each month a member shows a completed block at the "Block Of The Month" table her name will be entered into a draw. At the end of the program we will have a show and tell of finished tops or quilts. Our finished quilt will be presented to the "Guild Charity" of choice.
